To be fair, the gameplay itself is good. I like the unlimited undo and the ability to restart a game at any point. Being able to earn rewards like custom backgrounds and card backs is also nice, I guess. The ads can be annoying, especially when you leave for just a minute an get an ad when you return. But the unforgivable thing is that occasionally it spontaneously just jumps out of the game and takes me to a gambling or investment website! Not cool!! Also, is it that hard to save my progress?

Update: lowered rating because now interrupting in middle of play. Constant interruptions to clear challenges between games were already more annoying than ads! I just want to play solitaire. Unlike many games you can't stop in the middle of play and pick back up later. Must start a new game. Game play is smooth and fast. Ads short. Offline option. Backgrounds varied and some exceptional, especially like water effects and interactive fish. Left handed option would be a plus.

The number of ads in this game is infuriating. The devs made an otherwise fun game nearly UNPLAYABLE trying to force-feed us an ad-free subscription. I have NEVER before seen a game that forces you to watch an ad before AND after every level of the game (yes, TWO ads between each level). If you switch to a different app - even to answer a text or phone call - another ad is triggered as soon as you switch back. The gameplay is great, worth 5 stars if only the ads were kept to a reasonable limit.
